PRESS RELEASE FEBRURARY 4th, 2024:
Buba Touray, the community servant, mentor and Role Model to many in the services of humanity. His love for community and humanity has no boundaries. He goes above and beyond to fulfill the needs of community and humanity by extension. May not understand, why the Almighty Allah took him from us so sooner, and we may never know the answer to that, but he knows best. Buba was part the founding GDA Membership and served the Community to the best of his abilities. Today, we maybe mourning, but his has left us with rich legacy of service to humanity, understanding, patience, resilience, determination and mostly importantly Unity, for a purpose. A man may die, but his legacy will continue through his deeds. Today the pain of losing you is difficult to bear because this world needed you for some more years.
We pray that, the Almighty Allah, for his moral shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaws and those before him and after. His selfless love for Gunjur was always noticed by his peers, when he served as a community mobiliser within the GDA executive.
He was survived by his wife, brothers and his children: Fatou Touray (20) at Gam University, Malick Touray 18 @ Grade 11, Hatab Touray 11 @ grade 4, Anta Touray 7 @ grade 2, Isatou Touray 6 @ Nursery 2, Agi Yamu Touray 5 @ nursery1, Chaku Touray 1 year old, Gilen Touray 1 year old.
It is with a deep sadness that GDA as a Community Based Organization express our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
